  • Zapatos para Adela (Shoes for Adela) is a compassion ministry to supply children needed school shoes.  The name of the program is in recognition of Adela, who as a young girl NEVER was able to have a nice pair of new shoes.
  • Adela describes how she had to wear the cheapest plastic flip-flops until her feet bleed from being broken, too tight, and too old.   Adela is now the secretary / photographer for One Way Guatemala.
  • During our outreach programs we will bring  backpacks full of girls shoes and boys shoes. Adela will look for kids in need of shoes.  She provides some of the neediest kids a brand new pair of durable school shoes.
  • New shoes can be purchased for an average price of $8 per pair.
