CAST

CONCEPT

  • A "walker" enters stage right with bubbly enthusiasm to explain how wonderful is the Road of Life.
  • Three groups of two people are standing in a straight line with their back to the audience.
  • Each team has one person holding a small dry erase marker board and the other with a dry erase marker.

  • The WALKER begins to walk as if he will pass them by the first team.
  • The 1st team quickly turns with arms extended yells “ALTO”  (stop).
  • One individual quickly writes FEO and the first team yells “TU ERES FEO” with dramatic expressions and hand movements, such as a gagging sign with finger in mouth.
  • The walker responds with surprise and hurt, “YO SOY FE0????”
  • Exchange is short, but long enough to make the point.
  • Walker and teams interacts to the insults.
  • The walker returns to original position stage right and complains to the audience of being ugly (SOY FEO!!!! AYEEEE!!)

  • The walker will begin his walk of life again passing the first team who again are yelling TU ERES FEO.
  • The walker continues to the second team.  Who yells TU ERES TONTO.
  • The walker responds loudly with hurt “YO SO TONTO?”
  • Walker returns to original position stage right to complain about being FEO and TONTO.

  • The walker begins again passing the first two groups who again yell their insults FEO and TONTO.
  • The third team will stop the walker and yell TU ERES ZERO.  TU ERES NADA with appropriate hand gestures and facial expressions.
  • The walker shows hurt and yells “YO SOY ZERO, YO SOY NADA.”
  • The walker returns to stage right, complaining “YO SOY FEO … YO SOY TONTO … YO SOY ZERO … EL CAMINO DE LA VIDA ES DURO.”
  • The walker starts his walk again showing great embarrassment & pain.
  • Each team will again yell their insults FEO / TONTO / ZERO as the walker passes who responds to each.
  • The walker starts to pass the Christian who turns quickly stop the walker.
  • The walker jumps in fear of being insulted again and start to run.
  • The Christian stops the walker to ask what is wrong.
  • The walker explains YO SOY FEO, SOY TONTO, SOY ZERO.
  • The Christian says, ESTE ES UNA MINTIRA (That’s a lie).  Who told you that?
  • The walker takes the Christian to the 1st team who yell their insults.
  • The Christian erases the word FEO and write GUAPO (good looking)
  • The believer explains that the walker is beautiful because we are made in the image of God
  • The walker will immediately recognize the inherent beauty one has from being made in God’s image and yells,  SOY GUAPO!!!
  • The first team will also change their attitude and recognize they were wrong in calling the walker ugly.

  • The Christian will advance to the second team and erase the word TONTO and write LISTO (smart)
  • The believer will explain to the bullies that the walker is intelligent because we have the mind of Christ
  • The walker will immediately recognize this truth and say SOY LISTO!!!
  • This team will also change their attitude and recognize they were wrong in calling the walker "tonto" (a fool).

  • The Christian will advance to the third group and erase the word ZERO and write TU VALES MUCHO  (you are worth alot)
  • The believer will explain that the walker has value because we created by God and purchased by the blood of Christ who died for us.
  • The walker will immediately recognize this truth and say TENGO VALOR!!!
  • The first team will also change their attitude and recognize they were wrong in calling the walker a zero.

  • The Christian will talk to the walker and those who hurled insults to explain that to receive the beauty, wisdom and value of God that one must repent and receive Christ.
  • The walker will kneel in prayer along with the team members holding the dry makers in a semi-circle.
  • Those with the marker boards will surround those kneeling to hold above their heads to show the words   GUAPO / LISTO / VALE MUCHO.
  • They will have a short silent prayer.

  • The Christian will immediate speak to the audience about how some people make insults and others receive insults.

  • This will lead to a short gospel presentation with a prayer response.

  • Three white marker boards
  • Four dry erase markers
  • Dry eraser
  • Ball cap, dark sunglasses, hoodie,
  • Bible

Eight to ten people
  • Three groups (feo, tonto & cero) to hold marker boards, yell and write insults. make.  Two to three in each group. (male or female)
  • The "Walker" (male) to walk the road of life
  • The "Christian" (male) to confront the insults and speak the truth..
  • Note:  The sound track has male voices for the Walker and the Christian.

  • The concept of this drama is to speak to three lies that attack the beauty, intelligence and value of children and youth.
  • It also speaks to bullies who are speaking those lies to their peers.
  • We want to demonstrate; we are made in the image of God, we have the mind of Christ, we have great value because the blood of Christ purchased us.
  • We want to follow up with an invitation to receive Christ and also His attribute.
